PIONEER CONTRACTING & TRADING CO. (W.L.L.) (PICTRA) was founded in 1976 by our Chairman, Sheikh Ali bin Saoud bin Abdul Aziz Al – Thani when the pace of construction activities was showing an upward trend and to take advantage of the spurt in demand for the Electrical, Air Conditioning, Plumbing Drainage & Fire Protection Installation Services. Since its inception PICTRA have completed Electrical, Air Conditioning, Plumbing Drainage & Fire Protection Installation Projects covering the whole gamut of Commercial, Residential, Industrial Complex, Cold Stores, Hospitals, Airport & Sports Services Buildings. To cater the needs of our installation activities, PICTRA have a well-equipped workshop for fabricating ducts, claddings, weldings, windings, and associated testing equipment for commissioning of projects. PICTRA have highly skilled staff and engineering personnel who are the backbones of the organization. From time to time great effort are made to upgrade the personnel, making no compromise in its selection so that only competent and professional team is recruited in keeping the company’s reputation for maintaining the efficiency and high standards. Since 1990, Mr. Alaaeldin Ali Abdeen has been the General Manager until the time being Mr. Alaaeldin Ali Abdeen has led the PICTRA to become one of the top contracting companies in Qatar.

The Electrical division has involved with most of the major industrial and commercial projects in Qatar installing all types of electrical systems from HV through ELV. PICTRA Electrical also encompasses our instrumentation services. We have a deep understanding and expertise to provide complete instrumentation services right through from pre–commissioning to after sales maintenance on all projects. From bench testing to start-up we have the facilities to take care of everything in house.
PICTRA MECHANICAL
Following the successful establishment of the electrical and the fire protection divisions, the mechanical division was established in same year 1976 and now is equally proficient as a HVAC & cold stores contractor as well as plumbing & drainage. In recent years, PICTRA Mechanical had worked in major hotels, hospitals, sports, industrial & commercial projects throughout Qatar. One key to our success has been the adoption of latest installation techniques with specialist fabricators to deliver increasingly fast track projects. The division also has within its structure specialist teams of fabricators & welders which allow us to tackle any project wherever it is situated.
PICTRA FIRE PROTECTION
Knowing that if anything should go wrong, you have the best safeguards as system in place to deal with any problems. That’s what fire protection is all about. It’s also about quality work, installed reliably and economically. The reputation of PICTRA’s fire protection division is built on this. We will take care of everything from the overall design by our own highly trained and experienced Fire Protection Engineers using our in-house CAD system for the installation of all forms of fire protection system. We have a special hazards section to deal with the requirements of high-risk industries including all type of commercial projects, hospitals, schools, and sports buildings. We also make absolutely certain that the most up-to-date fire protection methods are used in all our installations because PICTRA keeps in constant contact with the leading worldwide fire protection equipment manufacturers, testing laboratories and approval agencies.
